Following Saturday night's ugly 102-94 loss in Utah, there have been grumblings around the Laker camp that Kobe may have to undergo surgery on his broken right index finger. Kobe shot just 7 of 24 from the field and also battled a stomach bug which caused him to get an IV treatment at halftime.
He certainly looked uncomfortable out there. Surgery could put Kobe out 1-2 months, but it may be necessary to have him at full-strength for the second half of the season. Unfortunately for Laker fans, this is four fingers worse than a pinkie.
