Worst. Play. Ever.

By MAX CUSTARD, FreshSportsDaily.com Wire Services

I've been calling for the head of Jim Zorn for a while, just as every Redskins fan from here to the Potomac, but what happened last night goes beyond anything that any NFL fan, analyst, writer, or popcorn vendor has ever seen.

The design of the swingin' gate fake field goal looked like something out of a 1920's newsreel, but nonetheless caught the Giants off-guard and caused New York to call a timeout - the first time. The decision to go right back to the same play goes down as one of the biggest head-scratchers ever and has sealed Zorn's fate.

Watching a post-game Jim Zorn news conference is more uncomfortable than watching Michael Scott from The Office trying to hit on a woman. Here's Zorn's musings on his team not showing up to play once again:

We'd have loved to do well, for [Owner] Dan [Snyder], for [GM] Bruce [Allen], for the whole ownership group.

He wanted to do "well." Not win, but do "well."

Much like the great football minds have always said - "Just do well, baby," and "Doing well is not everything, it is the only thing." Bye, Jim. Happy Holidays.
