They whine, they lie, they spout tired sports clichés such as the ever popular “My only focus is on the next game.” They are college football coaches.
Take the University of Cincinnati’s Brian Kelly, albeit a fine coach, but a lying, miserable hump. Am I the only one who is sick of coaches that chastise the media at press conferences any time the legitimate question of their job security or their future job prospects comes up?
Kelly spent the entire post-game news conference after Cincinnati’s Big East Championship win scolding the media like petulant children, telling the reporters in attendance
You folks need to get a handle on this because it’s ridiculous.This from the guy who assured his players he wasn’t leaving for Notre Dame before the championship game versus Pittsburgh (what convenient timing) while at the same time telling ESPN that he would entertain Notre Dame’s request for a meeting.
