I took a poll, and nobody over here likes New York Knicks Coach Mike D'Antoni. Maybe it's because we're in Los Angeles and we still can't get over having to battle against and lose to him when he coached the Suns. Maybe it's because he looks like the cops that used to bust us in high school. Maybe it's those damn teeth. Nonetheless, he definitely gained some cool points for his quote regarding his decision to bench Nate Robinson and whether or not it's a personal vendetta:
The only thing personal is that I don't know a coach yet that says, 'You know what? I don't like him so I'd rather lose.' I'd play Satan himself if I could win. I don't care. I have no morals, or scruples. I don't think a coach does because we're only judged if we win or lose. You win enough, you stay. You lose enough, you're gone. You can't debate whether a coach wants to win or lose. That's the only thing we have.Sweet. Well said, Officer Mike. I don't why Nate's being benched and it probably doesn't matter because the Knicks suck, regardless if some 5'9 guard plays or not. Nate's not Tiny Archibald. And who cares about the Knicks anyhow. What is important here is that a coach actually told the truth!
This must be the start of the Mayan spiritual/mental awakening thing that's going to peak in 2012.
